How much does Grenada citizenship cost?
Grenada citizenship by investment costs
You cannot simply buy a Grenada passport. To become the country’s citizens, wealthy foreigners participate in the Grenada citizenship by investment (CBI) program. So, we cannot name the Grenada passport price but will outline all the costs of participation in the Grenada investment program.
Under the citizenship program conditions, participants can choose between two options: investments in a state fund or real estate.
$150,000+ in a state fund. To get Grenada citizenship, you can make a contribution to the National Transformation Fund. The passport obtaining costs for this option are lower than the property option, though the contribution is non-refundable. The country’s government will spend the money on the development of the economy.
The minimum costs of the Grenada passport obtainment depend on the number of family members.

An investor with a spouse and one child will pay $200,000. A family of an investor, spouse, three children and the investor’s brother will pay $300,000.
$220,000+ in real estate. Applicants can purchase real estate in Grenada. For $220,000, they can buy a share in an object approved for the CBI program, like a resort complex. For at least $350,000, investors can get an apartment or villa for freehold ownership.
Examples of properties in Grenada
The minimum investment amount in real estate is fixed and does not depend on the family composition. Prices are the same for a single investor as well as a family of six.
One caveat: investors in real estate must also pay an additional state fee. This fee is non-refundable and depends on how many family members are included in the application:
$50,000 for single applicants and families of up to 4 people;
$25,000 for each additional child or parent over 55;
$50,000 for each parent under 55;
$75,000 for each sibling.
Real estate can be sold after 5 years of obtaining citizenship.

Who can become a Grenada citizen
To be approved for Grenada citizenship, a candidate must meet the Grenada passport requirements: be of legal age and with no criminal records or serious illnesses. Also, an applicant needs to prove the legality of the origin of their funds.
Investors can also apply for citizenship for their family members so that they also gain access to all the benefits of a second passport.
The application can include spouses of the opposite sex, children under 30, siblings over 18, and parents of the investor or their spouse. Children with disabilities are eligible to participate in the program without age restrictions.
All adult family members but spouses must be principally dependent on the main applicant and be fully financially supported by them. The investor’s siblings must not be married or have children until the passports are issued.
Let us compare the Grenada passport costs under two options for a family of four: an investor, their spouse and two children of 13 and 22 years old.

Steps of getting a Grenada passport
Choosing a licensed agent. Under the rules of the Grenada investment program, only a licensed agent can apply on behalf of an investor. You will not be able to collect a package of documents and submit them yourself.
Preliminary Due Diligence. The applicant contacts the agent company. Before concluding an agreement, our AML officers conduct a preliminary Due Diligence check: they look for the risks of denial of citizenship. The check does not require additional documents and takes 1 day.
Preparing an application. If everything is in order, the investor and the agent enter into an agreement. Lawyers prepare a package of documents, fill out state forms and submit an application for participation in the program.
Main Due Diligence check. As soon as the CBI unit receives documents, the longest stage of the program begins — Due Diligence. It lasts 3 to 6 months. The CBI unit checks the investor for compliance with the requirements of the program.
Investing and getting a passport. When approval is received, the applicant fulfils the investment condition. A passport and a naturalisation certificate are sent to them, so there is no need to go anywhere.
