For Osman and Fatma, the St Kitts and Nevis passports were never just documents kept safely at home. Since receiving them in 2022, the couple had used their second citizenship for travel: to cross borders more freely, plan routes with fewer restrictions, and feel less dependent on the rules of one country.
Osman and Fatma had not been following every legislative update. Their citizenship had been granted years earlier, and the process seemed complete. But at the beginning of May 2026, Immigrant Invest contacted them with an important update about their St Kitts and Nevis passports.
The migration lawyer explained that St Kitts and Nevis had introduced a new biometric requirement for all citizens. To continue using their passports without interruption, Osman and Fatma needed to submit their biometrics by the deadline of July 31st, 2027. After that date, passports without completed biometric registration will be deactivated.

If investors miss the biometric submission deadline, their citizenship will not be cancelled. However, their passport will lose its validity and will no longer be accepted as a travel document.
The previous passport does not have to be surrendered. Investors may keep it and use it together with the new one when needed, for example, if the old passport contains a valid US visa.

Avoiding a trip to St Kitts and Nevis
Biometrics must be submitted in person, either in St Kitts and Nevis or at one of the authorised centres in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, or North America.
For Osman and Fatma, Istanbul was the most practical choice. As they live in Ankara, they could complete the biometric submission in Türkiye, avoiding the need to travel to St Kitts and Nevis or another country. So, the couple soon began planning a short trip to Istanbul for the appointment.
Immigrant Invest explained that the Istanbul centre does not operate permanently. It works as a mobile centre: once a month, officials from the Government of St Kitts and Nevis travel to Istanbul for a week to collect biometric data. Because of this, the exact venue in the city may change from one visit to another.
Appointments are scheduled in advance. When Osman and Fatma looked into the procedure, the earliest available registration window was from June 22nd to June 25th.

Inside the biometric centre
As of July 2026, the Turkish centre is located in Yapı Kredi Plaza C Blok in Levent, one of Istanbul’s main business districts, 5—7 minutes by foot from the metro station Levent.
On June 25th, Osman and Fatma arrived at the biometric centre. After presenting their passports at reception, they received visitor passes. A representative of St Kitts and Nevis then greeted them and escorted them to the registration office.
After a quick document check, which included their passports and appointment confirmation, the procedure began. Osman and Fatma submitted their fingerprints, had their photographs taken, and were then asked to provide their signatures. The entire appointment took only 20 minutes for both investors.

Immigrant Invest provided access to the official St Kitts and Nevis Scheduler Portal through the authorised agent link. The investor cannot access the portal on their own.
Osman created an account, watched the mandatory civic education video, and filled in the required application sections, including personal details, passport information, contact information, documents, and photo.

In the portal, Osman and Fatma selected the time zone, country, biometric office, date, and available appointment slot. Osman then paid the required fees: $2,500 for himself and $2,000 for Fatma.
Once the payment was completed, Immigrant Invest reviewed the application details and confirmed the appointment. Osman received the confirmation both by email and in the portal.

Final step towards updated passports
Once Osman and Fatma’s biometric data was collected, it was sent to the St Kitts and Nevis authorities for processing. Their updated passports will be issued after the application is reviewed. Until then, their existing passports remain valid.
Immigrant Invest continues to oversee the case after the appointment, while the couple can monitor the status through the Scheduler Portal.
When the new passports are ready, Osman and Fatma will be able to collect them in person at a consulate or through an approved provider.
