St Kitts and Nevis Investment Gateway Summit’24

During the four-day St Kitts and Nevis Investment Gateway Summit '24, representatives of the St Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Program, partners, and investors discussed the CBI’s current state, future prospects, and its crucial role in national development.
Avril Blanchette, a Citizenship by Investment Advisor, visited the summit on behalf of Immigrant Invest. She shared the summit agenda and the main topics of discussion.
The summit began with a vibrant welcome party, where attendees networked and formed new connections. A highlight of the evening was the opportunity for guests to engage with Dr Terrance Drew, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, and provide feedback on the recently updated Citizenship by Investment Program rules.
The discussions on the second and third days focused on the evolution of the St Kitts and Nevis CBI Program. Its representatives detailed the reasons for investing in the nation and discussed the positive impacts of these investments on the local economy.

The summit concluded with a celebration and an excursion to Island Nevis on the fourth day and a farewell breakfast on the final morning.
3 main discussion topics at the summit
General discussion of the CBI program. The Citizenship by Investment program, boasting a 40-year history, was the focal point on the second day. The two keynote speakers were Mr Michael Martin and Dr Terrance Drew.
Mr Martin welcomed delegates and briefly introduced the St Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Program. He emphasised the importance of continuous improvement and strengthening the program to make St Kitts and Nevis a sustainable country.
Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew officially greeted visitors and highlighted the need for collaboration between the private sector and the government to maintain the strength of the CBI program. In his speech, he also discussed recent changes for investors, as well as the Memorandum of Agreement signed by Caribbean countries earlier this year, aimed at combating underselling and strengthening CBI programs in the region.
St Kitts and Nevis’s sustainable development. Several presentations focused on the sustainable development of St Kitts and Nevis, covering various initiatives aimed at enhancing the country’s sustainability.
The Right Honourable Dr Denzil Douglas gave a presentation on Sustainable Investment and Economic Development.
Ms Joyell Clarke and the Honourable Minister Konris Maynard presented a vision for the sustainability of the islands, highlighting St Kitts and Nevis’s ambition to become the first sustainable state in the region. According to the speakers, the key areas for development include the following:
water security;
energy transition;
food security;
social protection;
circular economy.
Importance of partnership with investors. Mr Stanley Jacobs, CEO of St Kitts Nevis Investment Promotions, listed reasons for individuals to invest in the economy of St Kitts and Nevis, which include:
islands’ high literacy rate;
modern infrastructure;
direct air access;
stable fixed currency;
investment opportunities in agriculture, green energy, medical tourism, and information and communication technologies.
