There are three main paths to citizenship in the European Union for people who weren’t born there: descent, general naturalisation, and naturalisation after investing in joining a Golden Visa program.
Each country sets its own naturalisation rules for applicants. For instance, Poland has the shortest required residence time before naturalisation is possible — only 3 years. The longest will take the residents of Austria: they have to live in the country for 11 years before applying for citizenship.
