About Turkmenistan
A state in Central Asia. It borders on Iran, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, and is washed by the waters of the Caspian Sea.
Turkmenistan is the fourth country in the world in terms of natural gas reserves. The country produces oil and gas, develops the textile and chemical industries, mechanical engineering and shipbuilding. About half of the workers are employed in agriculture: they grow cotton, rice, are engaged in horticulture and animal husbandry.
