About Tunisia
A state in northern Africa. It borders Algeria and Libya, washed by the waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Part of the country's territory is occupied by the Sahara Desert, and a third falls on the spurs of the Atlas Mountains.
Tunisia is an agro-industrial country. The main sectors of the economy are agriculture, tourism and light industry. Olives are grown in the country, olive oil and fabrics are produced, phosphorites and oil are mined. Tourists come to Tunisia for a beach holiday.
