About Finland
A state in Northern Europe. It borders on Russia, Norway, Sweden and Estonia, washed by the waters of the Baltic Sea. A quarter of the country's territory is located beyond the Arctic Circle. Finland is part of the European Union and the Schengen zone.
Finland is a highly developed industrial country. Steel mills work there, mechanical engineering and information technologies are developing. Agricultural land covers about 8% of the country's territory. An important sector of the economy is tourism: foreigners come to ski and snowboard, walk around Helsinki and see the northern lights.
