About Bosnia and Herzegovina
A state on the Balkan Peninsula, in Southeastern Europe. Candidate for membership in the European Union and NATO. The main source of income is agriculture and industry: for example, mining and engineering.
The territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina was conquered by the Ottoman Empire in the Middle Ages. This was reflected in the way of life and architecture of cities. Half of the country's population is Muslim, and buildings from the time of the Ottoman Empire have been preserved on its territory, for example, the Gazi Husrev Beg Mosque in Sarajevo.
