Popular Comparisons

What does a passport comparison help with? Immigrant Invest offers a passport comparison tool to save time on searching visa requirements for each passport separately.

Passports are compared by the number of visa-free destinations and entry and stay requirements in different countries. After selecting passports, a list will open under each of them with all the countries of the world and their visa requirements for citizens of the state chosen: which countries do not need to get a visa with the selected passport, which ones do, where you will only need an electronic visa, and where you will be issued a visa on arrival.

A stronger passport usually offers more countries for visa-free travel; for example, with an Australian passport, you can travel to more than 170 countries without a visa.

If an investor wants to get citizenship by investment, they can compare two passports of countries that offer such a possibility — for example, Grenada and Vanuatu. The comparison will help you choose the document that provides the most benefits.

How do I compare two passports? In the "Choose passport" field, find the desired country in the drop-down list and click on it. To compare passports of two or more countries, click on these countries in the "Choose passport" field next to the first field. You can add up to three documents.

The service automatically calculates the number of visa-free destinations and shows which countries require a travel visa and which don't. Visa requirements will be listed for each country you selected, highlighted in colour.

You can sort the results alphabetically or by region — for example, if your primary goal is to find out if you need a visa to Europe.

Example of a passport and visa comparison. To compare the passports from Spain with those from Italy and the US, click on the respective countries in the "Choose passport" fields. The service will show the results: 173 visa-free countries for Spanish and Italian passports and 170 countries for the US passport.

To find out which passports offer visa-free travel to Europe, sort the results by region.

The Spain and Italy passports will be shown to give visa-free access to most European countries, and the countries that are the exception will be marked with “Visa-free for 90 days”, “Visa-free for 180 days”, and “Visa-free for 360 days”.

The US passport will be marked to show visa-free access for 90 days or more to most European countries, with several exceptions.
