Vanuatu Passport Holders: Visa-Free Countries to Visit in 2026

The Vanuatu passport by investment offers opportunities to travel visa-free and helps investors conduct international business. Vanuatu citizens don’t need to apply for additional travel documents to visit well-known business centres in Asia, such as Singapore.

In 26 countries, the visa is granted automatically upon arrival, and 5 countries require an electronic entry permit to be issued in advance.

The visa-free countries accessible to Vanuatu citizens include popular tourist and business centres.

Australia. To visit this country, Vanuatu passport holders only need to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorisation. The eTA is issued for a year and allows multiple entries, each no longer than 90 days.

Maldives. The islands are a popular high-end tourist destination with white sandy beaches, beautiful nature and the warm Indian Ocean.

Vanuatu citizens get Maldives visas automatically on arrival and can stay in the country for up to 30 days.

Singapore. Vanuatu citizens can visit Singapore without a visa. This country is a large business centre, and visa-free access is useful for investors who work in the Asian region.

A Vanuatu passport holder can spend 30 days per annum without a visa in Singapore.

UK. In July 2023, the UK government decided that all Vanuatu citizens must obtain a visa before travelling to the UK, including for visits. Schengen Area. In December 2024, the European Council cancelled the agreement on visa-free travel to the countries of the Schengen Area for Vanuatu citizens. USA. Vanuatu citizens are no longer granted long-term US tourist visas. Previously, they could obtain multiple-entry B-1/B-2 visas valid for 5 years. Vanuatu citizens may also be required to post a bond of up to $15,000, set by the US consular officer at the interview.

A Vanuatu passport by investment can be issued quickly, within 2+ months.

The applicant needs to invest $130,000 in the country’s economy to get a passport. The investment conditions are comparable with those offered by Caribbean citizenship by investment programmes.

Vanuatu citizenship is granted for life, and the passport is valid for 10 years. An expired passport can be replaced by contacting the agent responsible for the citizenship by investment programme, at the local consulate, or by travelling to Vanuatu and changing the passport there.

The investor’s spouse, children, and parents can also be included in the citizenship application. The investment amount, commissions, and fees depend on the family’s composition.
