When to renew a St Kitts and Nevis passport?
Passports of St Kitts and Nevis are issued with a validity of 10 years for adults, while children under the age of 16 receive passports for 5 years.
The document must be renewed by all citizens in the following situations:
- passport has expired or is nearing expiry;
- passport has been lost or stolen;
- holder’s name or personal details have changed.
To avoid delays, it is recommended to start preparing documents well before the passport expiry date, especially if the passport is actively used for travel or compliance purposes.
All non-biometric St Kitts and Nevis passports must be replaced with biometric ones by July 31st, 2027. Starting August 1st, 2027, non-biometric passports will no longer be valid.
As part of the renewal process, applicants must provide their fingerprints, facial images, and digital signatures. Biometric enrolment can be completed in St Kitts and Nevis or at one of the authorised centres.
Who can renew a St Kitts and Nevis passport?
A St Kitts and Nevis passport may be renewed either by the passport holder or through a legal representative acting under a power of attorney.
Passport holder
Citizens of St Kitts and Nevis can renew their passports in person through the Passport Office or, in some cases, via diplomatic missions abroad. Personal appearance is required for biometric submission.
Licensed agent

After approval, the passport is issued and sent to the designated collection point. We verify the details and arrange secure international delivery. Delivery time depends on the destination and courier service.
What documents are required for the renewal?
The document package for renewing a St Kitts and Nevis passport usually includes:
- completed St Kitts and Nevis passport renewal form;
- old St Kitts and Nevis passport;
- St Kitts and Nevis naturalisation certificate;
- birth certificate;
- marriage certificate or name change documents, if applicable;
- passport photos meeting official requirements;
- confirmation of payment of a St Kitts passport renewal fee.
For minors, applications typically require a birth certificate and parental consent.
If the passport is lost or damaged, an affidavit and additional supporting documents may be required.
