About Jordan

An Arab state in the Middle East. Millions of foreign tourists visit the country every year. Travelers come to see the ancient Roman cities of Jerash and Petra, relax on the beaches of the Gulf of Aqaba or the Dead Sea resorts, go diving.

Jordan has significant reserves of phosphates, limestone, marble, salt and kaolin. Agriculture does not cover the needs of the inhabitants for food, because about 90% of the country's territory is occupied by deserts.
