    Pakistan recognises dual citizenship with 21 countries. The list includes the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Canada and other countries. Citizens of countries outside the list will need to renounce their previous citizenship if they receive a Pakistani passport.

  • Can a child become a citizen of Pakistan by birthright?

    A child born in the country after April 13, 1951, can obtain citizenship in Pakistan by right of land. Children of diplomatic staff are the exception.
