Esaad is Dubai's discount program, which brings together about 7250 brands and operates in 92 countries around the world. The emirate has been issuing Esaad cards since March 2017. The goal of the program is to improve the quality of life of UAE citizens and make Dubai an even more attractive city for relocation, work, study and investment.

The Esaad card is issued by the Dubai Police and offers owners exclusive offers, bonuses and discounts of up to 70% in government agencies, service companies, shops, medical clinics, language schools, and travel companies.

A list of all offers is published on the official website of the Esaad program. For example, you can get a doctor's consultation, get an examination at a discount of 40 to 70% at the Nyle Skin Medical Center in Dubai, or dine at one of the local cafes for 20‑30% cheaper.

Any company in Dubai can become part of the Esaad program. To do this, you need to register a company on the official website of the program and fulfill a number of conditions:

  • provide a valid license;
  • offer a discount that will be valid for at least one year;
  • set a discount percentage of at least 30%, which may vary depending on the activities of the organization;
  • attach the organization's logo and a detailed list of prices before and after the discount;
  • provide a passport and identity card of the owner of the company;
  • confirm that the discount will be provided by all branches of the company, both inside and outside the UAE;
  • send an application in Arabic and English with detailed contact information about the company.

The business owners also undertake to provide the UAE with statistical data on the number of Esaad card recipients and the total value of the discounts while the contract is in effect.

Who can get an Esaad card

Dubai issues Esaad privilege cards to citizens of the United Arab Emirates. This right was given to civil servants, military and civilian pensioners, public and private sector workers, as well as the disabled and the elderly.

To get an Esaad card, you need to register on the official website: provide your name and personal details, including an Emirates ID. The response will be sent to the applicant's email address.

Now holders of the UAE Golden Visa will also be able to receive an Esaad card. This was announced on June 18, 2022 on the official website of the WAM news agency.

The UAE issues golden visas for 5 or 10 years to investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, highly qualified professionals and people with exceptional talents.

How can an investor get a golden visa in the UAE

To obtain a golden visa in the UAE, the applicant first fulfills the investment condition – buys real estate or invests in a local business, and then applies for a visa. It used to take from 5 million to 10 million dirhams to become a golden visa holder.

In April 2022, the UAE Government approved new conditions for obtaining a visa: they reduced the amount of investment for obtaining a visa, removed the restriction on the period of stay in other countries, allowed buying real estate with a mortgage and under construction.

There is no exact date for the entry into force of the new rules - they are being clarified at the Dubai Land Department.

Buying a property also entitles you to a resident visa for a period of three years. To do this, you need to buy residential or commercial properties worth at least AED 750,000, or $204,000, in Freehold zones.

Gold and residence visa holders can move to the UAE, one of the richest and most developed countries in the world. This is their right, not an obligation: to maintain their status, it is enough to come to the UAE once or twice a year.

If desired, the investor has the right to optimize taxes: in the UAE there are no taxes on income, capital gains, inheritance, real estate and gifts. With a resident visa, you can open accounts in local banks, get access to medicine and education.
