Since In May 2013, the Government of Cyprus introduced changes to its legislation allowing foreign investors to obtain citizenship of Cyprus through the special government program – Cyprus Investment Programme. Last changes to the Programmes was made in May 2018.
Key concept of the program: applicants invest in real estate or government bonds of their choice or invest to the alternative investment funds as well as to the Cypriot company. As a result, they obtain citizenship of Cyprus within couple of months (from 6 months) and for all family members including parents.

Preliminary Due Diligence

Choosing an investment option
During the first stage, you need to decide on the investment option in order to obtain citizenship of Cyprus. In case of property option, selection process can be arranged remotely followed by direct viewings in Cyprus.

Signing a contract
Upon selecting an investment option, you need to sign respective contract (i.e. property purchase contract). This can be signed either in Cyprus or remotely, upon your return.
The payment specified in the contract is transferred to the escrow account which can be accessed only upon getting the approval from your lawyer.

Preparing and submitting the papers
At this stage, you need to provide us with a minimum set of documents. We take care of translations, apostille and filling out the forms.
Once the documents are ready, we submit them to the Ministry of the Interior of Cyprus. At the same time, you will need to pay a EUR 2,000 fee for each adult applicant.

Application approval and documents
Typically, the Ministry of the Interior of Cyprus issues a positive decision within 4-6 months. After that, you have to pay a EUR 5,000 fee for each adult applicant.
Within 3 months and under our guidance, you will be required to register a certificate of naturalization in order to obtain Cyprus identity document.
