Cocos Hotel and Keyonna Beach Resort are boutique hotels built on the west coast of Antigua Island. They are designed specifically for romantic getaways: only couples can check into cabins overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The hotels do not accept singles or families with children.
In 2021, construction will begin on new villas within the hotels. Ten cottages will appear at Cocos Hotel and twenty lodges at Keyonna Beach Resort.
Foreigners will be able to buy shares in hotels when construction starts. Owners of shares will receive dividends: the developer forecasts up to 8% p.a. Investors will receive their first payments in US dollars four years after the purchase.

The Citizenship Programme Department reported on the hotel expansion in the December issue of ” Antigua & Barbuda – The Citizen”. Cocos Hotel and Keyonna Beach Resort are not yet on the list of approved projects under the programme. They will be added when construction begins. If the hotels are approved, investors will be able to participate in the programme by buying shares in these hotels.
Under the terms of the programme, investors invest from $200,000 – the value of one share in an approved hotel. The investor will receive dividends in 4 years, and the property must be owned for 5 years. This means that the investor will receive an interest payment at least once, even if he sells his share as soon as the five-year period expires.

Cocos Hotel’s 35 wooden cottages are situated on a picturesque cliff. The balconies of the cottages have sea views. All villas have double beds with Egyptian cotton sheets, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and a fridge. The deluxe cottages come with a private outdoor pool.
There are an on-site restaurant and two beach bars. The spa specialists provide Swedish and Thai body massages. They also offer aromatherapy and yoga classes. For the more active, they offer kayaking and scuba diving. In the evenings, there are discos and live entertainment.

Keyonna Beach Resort is located on the southwest coast of Antigua Island and overlooks Turner’s Beach. The resort consists of wooden cottages overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
The cottages are furnished with handmade furniture, including air-cushioned king-size beds. Each cottage has a veranda, and the luxury villas have a private outdoor pool built into it. An air conditioner, refrigerator and minibar provide relief from the heat in the cottages. There are no TVs or radios: the philosophy is for couples to enjoy each other’s company without distractions.
The hotel restaurant menu is a mix of West Indian cuisine and seafood dishes. Tables are set on the open veranda overlooking the beach, so guests can enjoy a picturesque sunset while dining.
